PARAMETRIC BIM MODELING/ SD DRAWINGS/ SHOP DRAWING ANALYSIS
Torre Libertador is a new business complex being developed for Buenos Aires, Argentina. In this project, I was responsible for developing the exterior wall BIM model with full aluminum extrusion profiles, the 3D printed model, and for proposing designs of atypical exterior wall details including the transitions to the copings, soffits, parapets, and corner conditions.
The main building consists primarily of two wall types: A flat curtain wall panel with an intermediate spandrel area, and an undulating curtain wall facade comprising the cantilevering volume beginning at the 11th floor. The undulating portion of the design consists of a typical unitized curtain wall frame with an aluminum adaptor that accomodates the inward and outward sloping angles of the facade.
