Total Building Area: 1.8 Million gross square feet
Winthrop Center is a new 54 story high-rise tower within Boston’s Financial District, and the largest Passive House office building in the world. The focal point of the project is the Great Hall, a large interior public space providing continuous connections between two important avenues. I was primarily responsible for developing exterior wall solutions for the podium and vestibules and interior stairs and elevator enclosures.
As part of the five person Enclosure team, I executed the technical exterior envelope details to match the design team’s intent. I then transitioned to the interior Great Hall team, and developed the design and logic for the stairs & interior elevators.
